Description

Japanese Type 30 Sword Bayonet with Scabbard. Ricasso is faintly marked with stacked cannonballs for the Kokura Arsenal. The wood grips are solid with several scratches, nicks, and chips. The blade is straight, tight, lightly sharpened, a few nicks, but it does have some light pitting with surface rust scattered here and there. The topside of the crossguard has a "4"? on it, the top of the pommel has "88071" on it. The pommel and crossguard also have surface rust scattered throughout. The lock button is functional. Length of the blade measures 15 9/16" (15/16" wide x 1/4" thick spine), and the overall length of the bayonet is 19 15/16". Muzzle opening is 9/16".
